Burning Down the House!

Last year I planted a couple of Jalapeno pepper plants and had a small harvest. Not many peppers at all, and they were all very small. This year was very different, two plants with lots of big peppers. I had to find something to do with this bumper crop of peppers so I decided I would make Jalapeno jelly. My first batch was perfect - no problems at all. However; tonight I decided to make some more. This batch didn't go so well. I just wasn't paying attention and let it boil over onto our glass cook top stove. I was trying to figure out what to do when it boiled over again. This time a fire jumped right up like someone had just thrown it there. Luckily, my wife was close by and threw some water on the stove and put it out. It was so out of control in just a matter of seconds. SMOKE everywhere and kids screaming and crying! Long story short, its all under control and the jelly tastes good. The stove needs a little work unfortunately.
